Seeds of Faith Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Seeds of Faith (Binhi sang Pagtuo) app and website at seedsoffaith-fn.netlify.app (together, "the app") handle information. The app was developed by Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Iloilo City, Philippines ("we," "us").

1. What the app does

Seeds of Faith lets you read the Seeds of Faith devotional series, listen to the devotionals read aloud, and ask questions about the devotionals through the "Ask Seeds of Faith" feature.

2. Information we do not collect

• The app has no accounts or sign-in.
• We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal details.
• The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools that we added.

3. Information that stays on your device

Your bookmarks, reading progress, and display settings are saved in your device's local storage so the app can remember them. This information is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings or by uninstalling the app.

4. The "Ask Seeds of Faith" feature

When you type a question into the Ask feature, the text of your question, together with relevant passages from the Seeds of Faith volumes, is sent to our server and then to an artificial intelligence service provided by Anthropic (the Claude API) so that an answer can be written. Please do not type personal, confidential, or sensitive information into this feature.

• Your question is used only to produce an answer.
• We do not store your questions or the answers on our own servers.
• To limit daily use, the server temporarily counts questions by IP address in memory. This count is not saved and is cleared automatically.
• Anthropic processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
• Answers are generated by AI from the Seeds of Faith volumes and may contain mistakes. They are not a substitute for pastoral, medical, legal, or professional advice.

5. Read aloud

The Listen feature uses the text-to-speech engine already installed on your phone. The text is read on your device and is not sent to us.

6. Permissions

The app asks only for permission to use the internet and to check whether your device is connected, because it loads its content from the internet.

7. Hosting and technical logs

The website is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, device type, and the time of each request, for security and to operate the service. See Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy for details.

8. Links to other sites

If you open a link to another website or app, it opens outside Seeds of Faith, and that site's own privacy policy applies.

9. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data in an account or profile, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or if you have a question about your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), contact us and we will respond.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
